A rough implementation in Unreal 5 of the animations made for my reel. Would need transitions and polish to look great but it's working. (Had to lower the shadows hence the shadow artifacts).

After working on different unreleased or unannounced AAA game projects for over 6 years and not being able to show my work. I figured it's about time I make a personal reel. My day to day is mostly motion capture so the reel is also a way to hone my keyframing.
Normally my reel would be a collection of shots from different projects but since I'm making this one from scratch I figured it structure it like a gameplay scenario. Choosing a main character, breaking it down with actual gameplay assets such as walk, runs, attacks and stitching them together as I would in-engine. I've also started doing some basic implementation in unreal to test the animations. Ideally, after I'm done with the reel, it should also work as a small gameplay demo.
Turns out being a father of two small children doesn't allow for too much time to animate on the side and I wanted to upload something...and here's what I have so far. Will update until it's "done", my milage per week will vary.
